Release. Recharge. Relax.

Red Light therapy dives deep beneath the skin, to energize cells, sparking rejuvenation and healing. This process boosts collagen, cuts inflammation, and speeds up muscle recovery. It’s a swift, effective route to healthier skin, reduced pain, and a brighter, more youthful appearance.

what is red light therapy?

Red Light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation therapy, delivers low-wavelength red light to penetrate the skin and underlying tissues, promoting cellular energy and regeneration. This process stimulates the mitochondria in your cells, boosting their ability to produce more energy. So instead of just having enough energy to get by, your cells get to repair, replicate, and do their jobs.

Recharge your cells

Just like plants use sunlight to heal and grow, our body is able to harness red light and turn it into cellular energy. This therapy has been used for various conditions, including wound healing, skin conditions, collagen production, and muscle and joint pain.

what to expect

Step into a private room for a transformative 20-minute session of Red Light therapy, where the whole-body experience is powered by a state-of-the-art Joovv panel on the wall and a supportive red light mat beneath you.

To get the full benefit of the therapy, it’s recommended to undress down to your underwear to expose as much skin as possible to the red light. Also, protective glasses for your eyes are provided, though not necessary.

As you relax on the red light mat, a soothing red light envelops you, activating your body’s natural healing mechanisms.

reccomended frequency

Red light therapy is non-invasive, has no downtime and can be used everyday. The recommended frequency of use will vary depending on the condition being treated, but most people will see benefits with 2-3 sessions per week.

You should generally see some improvements within 1-4 weeks with consistent and regular treatment. Major changes should occur within 1-3 months, and more significant improvements in 3-6 months.

That said, occasional use for a boost-up is extremely beneficial as well.

BENEFITS OF red light therapy

By stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, essential components for new tissue formation, red light therapy helps reverse signs of skin aging. This process not only makes the skin appear more youthful and firmer but also enhances its radiance and smoothness, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

skin health

Red light therapy is highly effective in treating skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. The therapy reduces inflammation and promotes the growth of new skin cells, which can improve the appearance of the skin and reduce the symptoms of these conditions.

Pain Relief

By increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation, this therapy accelerates the healing of damaged tissues, effectively alleviating pain and stiffness. It is particularly beneficial for conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and chronic back pain, offering a non-invasive way to manage and reduce chronic discomfort.

Better sleep

Contributes to better sleep quality by helping you fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly. The therapy's ability to promote relaxation and reduce stress and anxiety is also beneficial in creating a conducive environment for restful sleep, proving its versatility and comprehensive range of health benefits.

Red light therapy boosts overall health by increasing energy levels and enhancing the immune system. It supports the body’s detoxification processes and helps in reducing inflammation, which is linked to various chronic diseases. These effects collectively strengthen the body’s defense mechanisms against illnesses.

Heart Health

Improving circulation is another significant benefit of red light therapy. Enhanced blood flow supports heart health, while increased oxygen uptake reduces shortness of breath. This combination is crucial for maintaining cardiovascular health and can help in preventing related health issues.

red light therapy FAQs?

The treatment is non-invasive, and has no side effects. It is safe and effective for most people.

The number of sessions varies based on the condition being treated, but most treatments suggest 2 to 3 sessions per week initially.

Contraindications include pregnancy, photosensitivity, and certain medications that increase light sensitivity. Always consult a healthcare provider first.

It’s best to wear minimal clothing. Ideally, you should undress to your underwear to maximize the area of skin exposed to the light. This helps ensure that you receive the full benefits of the therapy.

No. The wavelength of red and near-infrared light is actually healthy for your eyes. You may want to close them and take a nap, though. That said, we do provide eye protection should you feel that the light is too strong for you.

The mat is thoroughly sanitized before each use.

Remove all jewelry that could refract light. Remove as much makeup as possible, and limit the use of lotions, especially ones with light-blocking agents. Hydration is vital to the success of the treatments, so please drink water throughout the day!

You may feel a gentle warmth, but light therapy devices are designed to deliver light without excessive heat. A quick energy boost or feeling of euphoria is also possible.

Drink water to hydrate! Water is essential for cellular processes, and your cells will be hard at work after the session. Make sure to drink extra water and eat well so your cells have all the fuel they need.

Keep an eye on these things: pain levels, improvements in color or texture of scars, improvements in skin texture and tone, quality of sleep, your energy levels, how quickly you recover after exercise, and how energetic you feel throughout the day.

Research has found light therapy to be safe and effective. However, if you’re thinking about using it for children, it’s a good idea to talk to a healthcare professional if you have any concerns.
