Float therapy is a method of deep relaxation that occurs in a pod of warm epsom salt water. For an hour, the outside world is gone, and your mind is able to unwind and flow freely without distraction. Your brain pumps out dopamine and endorphins, and your body gets to restore and heal.
Float therapy, also known as sensory deprivation therapy, is deeply relaxing experience where you float in a tank filled with warm water and Epsom salts. This creates a sensation of weightlessness, providing profound physical and mental relaxation by blocking out external light and sound, allowing your mind to enter a deep meditative state.
This temporary escape from gravity, gives your body the chance to recharge. Your only obligation is to relax, and do nothing for a while. In our daily lives, we move at a relentless pace, never stopping. Floating allows you to disconnect and indulge in an hour-long sensory retreat where distractions fade away, leaving you undisturbed by light, sound, or physical sensations.
Float therapy can reduce stress, anxiety, and chronic pain, while with improving sleep quality and enhancing mental clarity, promoting overall well-being and mental rejuvenation. This combination of physical and mental relaxation makes float therapy a powerful tool for achieving holistic health.
You will float is a large Float pod filled with 10″ of water and 1,100 lbs of Epsom salt. This buoyant solution will gently support you as you float on your back. The water is kept at skin temperature, ~94.5 degrees, which means you lose track of where your body ends and the water begins.
After you close the lid of the pod (if you choose to do so), you simply float. The lights and music will fade out, easing you into the remainder of your float experience.
You are in complete control of your float. You decide if you want the light on or off. You determine how long the music plays. You control whether you want the canopy door open, closed or somewhere in between.

If your hair color is permanent and done more than 10 days ago, you should be good to float. If your hair color is semi-permanent, or is blue or red (these tend to come out and stain the pod), then you can’t float, unless it has been several weeks since getting your hair colored and you are 100% sure that color is no longer running in the shower.
After just one session of Floating Therapy, I felt as if a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. For the first time in months, I slept like a baby and the next day, I was able to handle my stressor much better. What an amazing experience! Definitely coming back.
