Salt Room Halotherapy

Salt room: thirty minutes of salt air, thirty minutes of nothing

Salt Room Halotherapy

What it is

Halotherapy means breathing very fine, dry salt particles in a room built for it. Solivana's salt room is lined with Himalayan salt and seats up to eight guests. You stay fully clothed.

The hour has two parts. For the first 30 minutes a machine disperses a fine salt aerosol into the air — the active phase. For the last 30 minutes the machine rests and you simply relax in the room, whose air and walls are already saturated with salt.

You sit back, breathe normally and rest. There is no water and nothing to do.

Why people love it

It is one of the calmest hours on the menu: you sit in a room lined with Himalayan salt, breathe, and do absolutely nothing.

The two-part shape helps: the first half gives you something to notice, the second half asks nothing of you.

Friends book it together because nobody has to talk — an hour of quiet company.

Salt caves have been a European ritual for generations — this is the clean, dry, modern version of that ritual.

What happens
Your hour has two parts. For the first 30 minutes a machine disperses a fine, dry salt aerosol into the room's air — the active phase — while you sit and breathe normally. For the final 30 minutes the disperser rests and you relax in the Himalayan salt room, whose air and walls are already saturated with salt particles. Other guests may share the room. Weekly guided events are separate offers.
What to wear and bring
Stay fully clothed in comfortable, light-coloured clothing; salt can leave a light dust on dark fabrics. Skip heavily perfumed products. This is a dry session; no water immersion is involved.

Getting the most from it

  • Wear light-coloured clothing; salt can leave light dust on dark fabrics.
  • Skip heavy perfume out of courtesy to other guests.
  • Bring nothing but yourself — phones on silent help keep the room quiet.

Who it suits

Anyone who needs a quiet hour that asks nothing of them, friends who want to sit together in silence, and first-timers who want something gentle to start with.

Who should check first

Ask before booking if you have respiratory or skin concerns. Consult a pediatrician about suitability for a child; confirm age and accompanying-adult requirements with staff. We can't book anyone in their first trimester for any experience. Later in pregnancy, check with your OB/GYN or midwife before booking.

Solivana experiences are wellness services, not medical diagnosis or treatment.
